Recent Spotify global and U.S. weekly data show a tight contest for the #2 spot heading into the September 25 close, with Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” holding steady at #2 globally behind KAROL G’s “BbY WOW” while ADÉLA’s “Ain’t In LA” and surging “Nicole Kidman” post the largest daily gains. Older tracks like Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj’s “Beauty and a Beat” and Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” maintain elevated streams through playlist placement and nostalgia plays. Traders weigh ADÉLA’s rapid trajectory and consistent upward revisions against “Earrings” proven endurance and the risk of late-week volatility in streaming volume. The final tracking days through September 24 will likely determine whether a newcomer overtakes or an established entry locks in the position.
