Stranger Things Season 5 concluded its run across three drops in late 2025, with the finale landing on New Year’s Eve and confirming the core series’ end. As of mid-2026, Netflix has released no new mainline episodes, instead focusing on the animated Tales From ‘85 spin-off (Season 2 slated for fall) and ancillary releases such as the complete Season 5 script book arriving July 14. Official statements from the Duffer Brothers and Netflix have repeatedly ruled out hidden or bonus canonical episodes, tempering speculation that resurfaced in early 2026. Traders tracking any surprise new episode therefore weigh the low likelihood of rapid follow-up content against the franchise’s history of extended gaps and the platform’s current emphasis on spin-offs rather than reviving the flagship series. Upcoming catalysts remain limited to marketing around the script release and potential fall spin-off updates.

For the purposes of this market, an “episode” must be listed as a distinct episode of Stranger Things on Netflix and be playable for general subscribers in the United States. A behind-the-scenes featurette, documentary, trailer, recap, cast interview, deleted scenes compilation, or other bonus content will not count unless it is clearly presented by Netflix as an official numbered or titled episode of the series.
If Netflix releases an alternate cut, extended cut, or “secret” version of an already-released episode, it will not count unless it is listed as a separate episode entry on Netflix.
The primary resolution source for this market will be the Stranger Things title page on Netflix (episode list and availability), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
