Recent TSA checkpoint screening volumes for March 17 reached 2.3 million amid peak spring break travel, fueling trader optimism for sustained high throughput on March 18, yet historical Monday patterns show 5-10% dips from weekend peaks, anchoring bets under 2.2 million. Consensus splits evenly between 2.2M-2.4M (51%) and below (50%), reflecting uncertainty over lingering vacation demand versus post-weekend normalization and mild weather across key hubs like Atlanta and Dallas. No major disruptions reported, but intraday flight delays or early airport data could tip scales; official TSA figures, typically released next morning, will resolve the market.
