This market will resolve to the player that wins the 2026 World Chess Championship. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed player to win the 2026 World Chess Championship per the rules of FIDE, the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 World Chess Championship tournament is cancelled, postponed, or partially completed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from FIDE; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Javokhir Sindarov enters the November 2026 title match in Geneva as the clear market favorite due to his dominant 2026 Candidates victory and consistent classical results that have elevated him into the world’s top ranks. Gukesh Dommaraju, the reigning champion, has posted inconsistent performances over the past year, including a notable drop in FIDE rating and standings. Magnus Carlsen’s recent public assessment—that Sindarov holds the edge with no obvious weaknesses while Gukesh must seize early momentum—has further shaped trader consensus around the Uzbek challenger’s preparation and current form. The best-of-14 classical format rewards sustained pressure, where Sindarov’s recent trajectory gives him the implied edge reflected in current pricing, though Gukesh’s proven match-winning ceiling keeps the outcome competitive.
