Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent Met Office observations and numerical weather prediction models indicate a daytime maximum of 25–26°C across London on June 17 under partly cloudy skies and light southwesterly flow, placing the outcome firmly at the market-implied level. This consensus stems from a dominant high-pressure ridge maintaining stable subsidence and limited cloud development, consistent with seasonal norms for mid-June when average highs reach 19–21°C. Forecasters note minimal model spread, with ensemble runs showing little potential for convective enhancement or advection of cooler maritime air. A realistic shift could occur only if rapid afternoon cloud build-up or an unforecast sea breeze strengthens, capping temperatures 1–2°C lower, though current guidance assigns low probability to such changes before the daily maximum is recorded.
