Anchisa Chanta holds a clear edge over Hikaru Sato in the W35 Taipei 2 draw, backed by her higher WTA ranking near 387 compared to Sato’s 496. The 23-year-old Thai player has posted stronger recent results on the ITF circuit, including multiple wins in 2026 events, while the 27-year-old Japanese competitor has struggled in her latest outings, including a straight-sets loss in Taipei. Both players face qualifying or early-round opponents on similar surfaces, with limited prior head-to-head history between them. Chanta’s experience at this level and superior points accumulation give her the stronger profile entering the matchup, though ITF outcomes remain subject to form fluctuations and draw progression.
