Shohei Ohtani leads trader consensus at 40.5% implied probability for 2026 NL MVP, propelled by his historic two-way dominance with the Dodgers—blending elite pitching and hitting in a perennial contender—following his seamless NL transition and strong 2025 campaign. Juan Soto's meteoric rise to 12.5% stems from his record-shattering 15-year, $765 million Mets contract, pairing star power with Citi Field's hitter-friendly confines amid New York's playoff push. Ronald Acuña Jr. (10.5%) rebounds on injury recovery and Braves' core stability, while Fernando Tatis Jr. (7%) gains from Padres' revamped lineup. Elly De La Cruz's speed-power surge (5.8%) fuels Reds hype, though Bryce Harper's age and Mookie Betts' versatility trail; Kyle Tucker's low odds reflect persistent AL trade rumors. Odds hinge on health, team wins, and WAR trajectories into spring training.
