This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez leads the AL Comeback Player of the Year market at 84.5% implied probability due to his dominant 2026 rebound after appearing in just 48 games the prior season because of hand and ankle injuries. The Houston Astros designated hitter has posted a .310/.427/.590 slash line with 38 home runs and 96 RBIs through roughly 522 at-bats, leading the American League in multiple Triple Crown categories while posting elite plate discipline and power. Recent developments include a minor right-ankle tweak that sidelined him from the September 11 lineup and a September slump (7-for-33), yet these have not shifted trader consensus given his overall production and MVP positioning. Distant contenders such as Gerrit Cole (returning from Tommy John surgery with a 3.41 ERA in 111 innings) and Mike Trout trail far behind, as Alvarez’s health and output have defined the race.
