This market will resolve to “Yes” if the NBA rules in favor of the Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge submitted by Luka Doncic and his representatives, allowing Luka Doncic to be eligible for end of season awards. Otherwise, this market will resolve “No”. If no ruling in this case is delivered by June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET or the challenge is not submitted within the NBA’s required window, this market will resolve to “50-50”. The resolution source will be official information from the NBA; however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Luka Doncic's Grade 2 left hamstring strain, announced April 3, will sideline the Lakers star for the regular season's final games, leaving him one short of the 65-game threshold for NBA awards eligibility amid a league-leading 33.5 PPG pace and MVP candidacy that propelled Los Angeles to third in the Western Conference. His agent Bill Duffy's statement citing two December absences for his daughter's birth in Slovenia—returning to play just two days later—as qualifying under the extraordinary circumstances provision has bolstered trader consensus at 83.5% Yes, contrasting sharply with load management cases and highlighting his commitment despite personal demands. No precedents exist for successful challenges since the rule's inception, but his historic production and injury timing present a compelling grievance for post-season arbitration.
