The tight clustering of implied probabilities among Marcel Sabitzer and a deep group of creative midfielders and wingers highlights the uncertainty surrounding assist leaders in an expanded 48-team 2026 FIFA World Cup field. Sabitzer’s edge reflects his consistent chance creation and set-piece involvement in recent Bundesliga action with Borussia Dortmund alongside strong World Cup qualifier output for Austria. Comparable dynamics apply to Riyad Mahrez, Raphinha, Luis Díaz, and Martin Ødegaard, whose club form and national-team roles keep multiple candidates viable through the group stage and knockout rounds. Historical precedents show assists often distribute across several high-volume creators rather than concentrating on one standout, sustaining the competitive balance reflected in current trader consensus.
