Sanhui Shin holds a substantial edge in ranking and experience as the higher-ranked South Korean (ATP No. 443, career high 347) facing Japanese qualifier Ryotaro Taguchi (No. 963) on hard courts at the M15 Bali. Shin's recent straight-sets win in the event underscores consistent baseline play and serve reliability at this level, while Taguchi has advanced with victories over lower-ranked opponents, including a three-set win over Isaac Becroft that highlighted improved return pressure. Surface familiarity favors both players' styles on the outdoor hard, but Shin's superior recent win rate and head-to-head implications from comparable ITF events position him as the consensus favorite in trader pricing. Any late injury or fatigue from the short turnaround could shift momentum in the best-of-three format.
