**Summer Bear enters the BO3 against Team Syntax as the slight underdog in this EPL Masters II Play-In Group B matchup, reflecting Team Syntax’s stronger recent results and head-to-head edge.** Summer Bear, a CIS-region side ranked around 57th globally with a 37% win rate across 19 matches, sits on a two-match losing streak and has shown inconsistency since debuting in June 2026. Its active lineup features Ukrainian players including Delight, Panda, and Johnnupro, providing some individual skill but limited team cohesion in higher-stakes series. Team Syntax, positioned slightly higher in the rankings, has compiled a more solid 17-9 record and demonstrated better form in recent European Pro League action, including a prior 2-1 victory over Summer Bear in July. Key factors include Syntax’s improved map control and drafting adaptability in BO3 formats, contrasted with Summer Bear’s vulnerability to extended series pressure. Both squads remain Tier-2/3 European competitors with limited international exposure, so roster stability, individual hero pools, and early-series momentum will heavily influence the outcome in this single-elimination-style play-in setting. No major last-minute roster changes or external factors have been reported.

The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence.
In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
