Aurora Nosei enters her ITF W15 Grado first-round match against Barbara Dessolis on clay after strong qualifying performances, including straight-set victories over Zsofia Kaegi and Chiara Manitto in the lead-up to the main draw. Nosei, ranked around 1435, has shown solid recent form on the surface with an aggressive baseline game that suits slower conditions. Dessolis, with a 2026 singles record of 8-6 and a 57 percent career win rate on clay, arrives following a straight-sets loss in a W35 event in Santa Margherita di Pula. Both players bring comparable experience at the ITF level, though Nosei’s fresher match rhythm and home-tournament comfort could influence early exchanges in what appears a closely contested opener.
