Aziz Dougaz, the experienced Tunisian left-hander with a career-high ATP ranking near 185, faces Marcello Serafini in an ITF M15 Monastir hard-court match. Dougaz brings greater overall pedigree and familiarity with the venue after recent Challenger and Grand Slam qualifying appearances, including a Roland Garros qualifying loss. The 23-year-old Italian Serafini, whose career high reached 377, arrives with solid recent hard-court activity in the same Monastir series, highlighted by a three-set victory over Matthew Rankin. Both competitors operate well below their peaks in lower-tier events, where surface consistency, local conditions, and current match sharpness typically shape outcomes more than historical rankings. No confirmed injuries or late withdrawals affect the field.
