Kimi Antonelli holds a commanding 81-point lead in the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship after 14 of 23 rounds, with 292 points to George Russell's 211, driven by eight race wins, six poles, and 12 podiums for the Mercedes driver. His early-season streak of five consecutive victories, combined with strong results at Monza from the back of the grid and the most recent Spanish Grand Prix, has solidified Mercedes' advantage under the new technical regulations. The wisdom of crowds in the market reflects this substantial gap and Antonelli's consistent qualifying and race pace, leaving limited realistic paths for challengers like Russell, Lando Norris, or Lewis Hamilton unless mechanical issues, crashes, or dramatic form reversals occur in the remaining nine events.
