The Chicago Cubs enter the three-game set at Wrigley Field holding a 37-35 record and slight edge in NL Central positioning, while the visiting Blue Jays sit at 34-38 and third in the AL East. Toronto’s recent form includes back-to-back losses and ongoing injury concerns, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. managing lower-back tightness and Daulton Varsho on the IL with a wrist issue. Chicago’s home advantage and stronger recent home splits factor into trader views, as do probable starters and bullpen depth on both sides. Schedule context also includes the Cubs’ positioning ahead of a stretch against divisional rivals, while Toronto eyes momentum heading into interleague play.
