Multiple talented SEC quarterbacks enter 2026 with strong supporting casts and opportunities for high-volume passing, keeping the passing touchdowns race wide open after two weeks. Early standouts include Mississippi State’s Kamario Taylor and Missouri’s Austin Simmons with seven passing scores apiece, Georgia’s Gunner Stockton with eight, and Tennessee freshman Faizon Brandon posting elite efficiency. Arch Manning’s late-game heroics against Ohio State, Trinidad Chambliss’s proven production, and transfers such as Sam Leavitt add further parity. With conference play beginning and 12-plus games remaining for most teams, injury risk, defensive adjustments, and varying offensive schemes prevent any single signal-caller from separating decisively in trader consensus.
