This market will resolve according to the team that finishes last in the league phase of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish last in the league phase, the associated market will resolve to "No". If two or more clubs are level on points, the ranking will be determined according to UEFA's official tie-breaker criteria as published for the competition. If the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League league phase is canceled or not completed by February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from UEFA. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The expanded 36-team league phase format, with each side facing eight varied opponents across Matchday 1 results and a lengthy schedule through January 2027, has created broad uncertainty over the bottom position. Early outcomes, including upsets like AEK Athens over LASK and Aston Villa over Club Brugge, underscore how mid-table and weaker entrants can accumulate points unpredictably while stronger sides occasionally drop results. This variance, combined with differing squad depths, travel demands, and injury risks, keeps implied probabilities tightly bunched among numerous clubs outside the elite tier, reflecting trader consensus on realistic paths to last place for several teams rather than any dominant favorite.
