Angel Reese holds a commanding lead in the 2026 WNBA rebounds per game race at 12.3–12.4 per contest through roughly 40 games, driven by her record-setting pace that includes the first 500-rebound season in league history, a single-game mark of 26 boards, and 31 double-doubles. Her consistent dominance on the glass—bolstered by high offensive rebound volume and double-digit outings in recent contests—has created a substantial gap over Jessica Shepard (around 11 RPG) and the rest of the field. Late-season injuries, reduced minutes, or an unexpected surge from competitors in the final weeks remain the primary factors that could narrow the margin before the regular season concludes.
