In the 2026 Primera Nacional, two 18-team zones play a full home-and-away schedule through December, with zone winners contesting the first promotion and positions 2–8 in each zone entering the Torneo Reducido for the second spot. Late-August standings show tight clusters at the top of both groups: Ferro Carril Oeste leads Zone A on 52 points ahead of Deportivo Morón (46) and Colón (45), while Tristán Suárez heads Zone B on 48 points ahead of Gimnasia y Esgrima Jujuy (45) and Temperley (43). With roughly ten rounds remaining, comparable points totals, goal differences, and recent form across more than two dozen clubs keep multiple realistic paths open for second overall or Reducido qualification. This depth and the split format sustain the even distribution of implied probabilities among listed contenders.
