The 2026–27 Croatian HNL runner-up market remains tightly bunched because no single side has established clear separation behind perennial champion Dinamo Zagreb. Osijek, Rijeka, Hajduk Split, Varaždin, and Lokomotiva Zagreb enter the campaign with comparable squad depth, recent European experience, and solid pre-season recruitment, while early match results show each capable of stringing together wins against the rest of the field. Hajduk’s larger fan base and infrastructure contrast with Osijek’s and Varaždin’s strong starts and efficient attacking play, yet none has pulled away in form or key personnel. This parity, combined with a condensed schedule and the possibility of mid-season transfers or injuries altering momentum, sustains the even implied probabilities across the group.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Croatian HNL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Croatian HNL (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Croatian HNL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
