Tristan Schoolkate enters as the clear favorite against Alafia Ayeni in the San Luis Potosi Challenger first round, backed by his No. 114 ATP ranking compared to Ayeni's No. 273, plus a 1-0 head-to-head edge from a 2023 hard-court win. Both arrive off clay-court action in Morelia, where direct-entry Schoolkate fell in the first round to Juan Pablo Ficovich, while qualifier Ayeni showed resilience with recent qualifier wins including a 2-1 upset over Guillaume Dalmasso in San Luis Potosi quals. No injury concerns reported; outdoor clay at altitude tests endurance, with Schoolkate's superior experience on the surface shaping trader consensus toward his straight-sets potential despite Ayeni's momentum.
