Sixth seed Alex Bolt faces qualifier Tung-Lin Wu in the Busan Challenger round of 16 on outdoor hard courts, with trader consensus leaning toward Bolt due to his higher ATP ranking (154 vs. 336), seeding advantage, and recent head-to-head win over Wu in the Brisbane 3 Challenger final last November (6-3, 6-3). Both advanced in straight sets yesterday—Bolt edged James McCabe 7-5, 7-6(2) with 12 aces and 80% first-serve points won, while Wu upset Taro Daniel 6-4, 6-4 after qualifying triumphs. Wu boasts superior 2026 hard-court form (13-5) including a Miyazaki semifinal, but Bolt's experience and serving prowess on the surface tilt implied probabilities in a closely contested matchup.
