In the Madrid Challenger round of 32 on outdoor clay, 176th-ranked Jurij Rodionov faces 206th-ranked Federico Cina in their first head-to-head matchup, with trader consensus reflecting a tight contest given both players' recent clay struggles. Cina, the 19-year-old Italian riser who peaked at No. 183 last month, exited ATP Marrakech in the second round last week (6-2, 6-3 to Alexandre Muller), showing solid qualification form earlier in the European clay swing. Rodionov, the 26-year-old Austrian lefty with a career-high No. 87, lost in Bucharest Challenger qualifying final on March 30 (to Nikoloz Basilashvili after beating George Loffhagen). Rodionov's size (191cm) and experience edge Cina's aggression, but no injuries or withdrawals noted ahead of this pivotal early-round clash.
