Nedic, the 21-year-old Bosnian, advanced yesterday with a dominant 6-0, 2-0 retirement win over Svyatoslav Gulin, extending his strong recent form on the surface. Erhard, 24 from France, snapped a four-match losing streak via straight-sets 6-3, 6-4 victory against Tomasz Berkieta, showing improved consistency.
