In the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters quarterfinals on clay, fifth seed Alex de Minaur holds trader consensus as the favorite after navigating tough three-setters over Cameron Norrie and qualifier Alexander Blockx, showcasing his improved clay-court resilience and speed with a career 52% win rate on the surface. Local hero Valentin Vacherot, ranked 23rd, surges into his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal—the first for a Monegasque—fueled by upsets over fourth seed Lorenzo Musetti and sixth seed Hubert Hurkacz in the prior rounds, backed by raucous home-crowd energy at Court Rainier III. No prior head-to-head exists, heightening upset potential amid mild April weather, though de Minaur's experience edges the implied probabilities.
