In the Wuning 1 Challenger final on hard courts, unseeded Pavel Kotov faces sixth seed Harry Wendelken in their first head-to-head matchup, with trader consensus reflecting a closely contested affair driven by both players' strong 2026 form. Wendelken, ranked 237, enters unbeaten in sets across four tournament wins—capping a dominant 6-2, 6-2 semifinal rout of Li Tu—bolstered by a 28-9 YTD record and 16-4 on hard, including recent finals in Sheffield M25, Hersonissos Challenger, and Miyazaki Challenger. Kotov, at No. 299 after a career-high 50, has won back-to-back Challenger titles in Koblenz and Cherbourg, advancing via a gritty 7-6(9), 3-6, 6-3 semifinal over Fajing Sun despite dropping two sets earlier. No injury concerns reported, setting up a battle of Wendelken's efficiency against Kotov's serving prowess.
