This market will resolve according to the player that finishes Round 1 of the main tournament at the 2026 Open de France with the lowest cumulative score to par. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the player with the lower score on the back 9 of the first round. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more eagles thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records more birdies thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records fewer bogeys thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Open de France is cancelled, postponed after October 11, 2026 at 11:59PM ET, or if an official Round 1 leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the event organizer or governing body.**A deep, competitive DP World Tour field at the renovated Le Golf National makes the first-round lead highly uncertain, which is reflected in the tightly bunched implied probabilities.** The Albatros course (par 71, ~7,365 yards) returns after upgrades that altered several holes and greens, limiting the value of older course history while favoring accurate ball-strikers and strong short games in the opening round. Players such as Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, Ludvig Åberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, Kristoffer Reitan, Jeff Winther (multiple strong prior results here), Bud Cauley, Martin Couvra, and Eugenio Chacarra bring recent form and pedigree, yet the event’s depth—including in-form Europeans and Americans—means no one stands out decisively for an early lead. Recent results from the BMW PGA Championship and other fall events show continued parity, with low 60s or better scores possible but far from guaranteed on this demanding layout. The market’s clustering around 40–50% for dozens of names captures this broad dispersion of realistic first-round scoring outcomes.
