Recent passage of a cold front has brought rainfall and northerly flow to Beijing, sharply lowering temperatures on September 8 before high pressure builds and skies clear for September 9. Official forecasts indicate a high near 25–26 °C under light winds and drier air masses, consistent with the market’s heaviest weighting on those outcomes. This remains several degrees below early-September climatological averages near 27–28 °C, reflecting the lingering influence of the frontal system rather than typical warm-season advection. Updated model runs and local observations through the next 48 hours will determine whether modest warming pushes readings toward 27 °C or keeps the peak capped at 25–26 °C.
