Sofia Shapatava faces Kylie Collins in the opening rounds of the W100 Palmetto Pro Open on outdoor hard courts in Sumter. The 23-year-old American Collins enters on strong recent form after straight-set qualifying wins, including a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Jenna Dean, and benefits from home-country support in her first significant ITF main-draw appearance at this level. Shapatava, ranked slightly higher at No. 444, brings greater professional experience but has posted mixed hard-court results this season following earlier losses on the circuit. The closely ranked matchup pits Collins’ current momentum and local conditions against the Georgian veteran’s deeper match history on the surface.
