Barcelona's commanding lead atop the LaLiga table after 31 matchdays, with 79 points from 26 wins, has all but secured the title and positioned Real Madrid as the firm trader consensus for second place at 95.5% implied probability. Recent results solidified this: Barcelona's comeback 2-1 victory at 10-man Atletico Madrid extended their advantage to seven points following Real Madrid's 2-1 upset loss at Mallorca, where a 91st-minute goal stung. Villarreal and Atletico trail far behind in third and fourth, separated by double-digit gaps in points and goal difference. Real Madrid's Champions League elimination shifts full focus to the league, but a challenge to their runner-up spot would require an improbable collapse—multiple defeats amid winning streaks from pursuers—with just seven matches remaining.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by La Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 LaLiga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 LaLiga season is cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
