This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team finishes 3rd in the final standings of the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Ligue 1 as finishing in third place. If multiple teams are officially awarded third place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 3rd in the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season, the market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 3rd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from Ligue 1. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign opened on August 21 with widespread uncertainty around the podium places behind PSG, whose title dominance leaves the race for third wide open among a deep group of contenders. After the first matchday, early results highlighted strong starts from Marseille, Lens, Lille, and Lyon, while PSG drew at Rennes and several promoted or mid-table sides like Le Mans and Brest picked up points. Summer managerial changes at clubs including Marseille and Paris FC, combined with squad turnover at Monaco, Rennes, and Lille, have reset expectations and diluted any single favorite for third. European commitments will test depth for teams like Lens and Lille, while historical consistency from sides such as Lyon and Monaco adds further variables across the 34-match schedule. This even distribution of implied probabilities reflects traders pricing in the extended timeline, potential for form swings, and lack of a clear hierarchy below the champions.
