Trader consensus crowns the Chicago Cubs as overwhelming 2026 NL Central favorites at 51% implied probability, propelled by their elite farm system—headlined by pitching phenom Cade Horton and infielder Matt Shaw—paired with a battle-tested young core of Pete Crow-Armstrong, Seiya Suzuki, and Dansby Swanson under Craig Counsell's steady hand. Milwaukee Brewers (25.5%), 2024 division winners with 93 victories, trail amid Counsell's 2023 exit, bullpen uncertainties like Devin Williams' trade saga, and modest payroll constraints. Cincinnati Reds (19.5%) and Pittsburgh Pirates (16%) surge on dynamic youth like Elly De La Cruz, Hunter Greene, Paul Skenes, and Jared Jones, while St. Louis Cardinals (1.8%) fade with an aging roster featuring Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado signaling rebuild. Early offseason whispers amplify Cubs' edge post their 83-win 2024 push.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 National League Central division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
