McCartney Kessler enters as the clear trader favorite against Magdalena Frech in this Miami Open first-round clash on hard courts, with market odds reflecting her No. 36 ranking and surging form after a WTA 250 title in Austin and a strong Indian Wells showing. Frech, ranked 58th, has steady qualifier wins but lacks Kessler's power baseline game suited to Miami's conditions. No head-to-head history exists, and both players report full fitness per latest injury updates. Traders weigh Kessler's home-crowd edge and rest advantage against Frech's gritty return play, amid forecasts of humid heat that could test endurance in a best-of-three matchup.
