Elsa Jacquemot enters as the slight trader favorite against Darja Vidmanova in this Miami Open qualifying matchup, with market odds reflecting her higher ranking (No. 142 vs. Vidmanova's No. 169) and stronger hard-court record this year (6-4 vs. 4-3). Jacquemot's recent upset win over a higher seed in qualies round one boosts her momentum, while 17-year-old Vidmanova impressed by qualifying through Indian Wells challengers but faces fatigue on these outdoor hard courts. No reported injuries for either, head-to-head unplayed; expect Jacquemot's baseline consistency to edge Vidmanova's aggressive play in a best-of-three, though teen upsets remain common in early rounds. Schedule favors rest for both ahead of potential main-draw path.
