Clement Chidekh, ranked No. 179 with a recent career high of 180, enters the Wuning Challenger first round on outdoor hard courts as a clear favorite over No. 558 Yuki Mochizuki in their head-to-head debut. Mochizuki advanced as a lucky loser (LL) after dropping his final qualifying match, including a recent win over Ben Jones, introducing potential fatigue from the short turnaround. Chidekh benefits from direct main-draw entry and rest following limited 2026 action, such as a straight-sets loss to Pavel Kotov in Cherbourg. No injuries reported; Chidekh's superior Elo rating (156th globally), height (180cm), and form underpin trader consensus amid standard conditions.
