Stefan Kozlov enters as the clear trader consensus favorite against wild card Alan Magadan in the San Luis Potosi Challenger first round, driven by his superior ATP ranking of 260 versus Magadan's 750, greater experience, and a recent 6-4, 6-4 head-to-head win over Magadan on hard court in the Morelos Challenger earlier this month. Both players transition to clay—their first of 2026—after early exits last week in the Morelia Challenger on hard, where Kozlov fell in the round of 32 to Andres Martin (2-6, 6-2) and Magadan reached the round of 16 before losing to Luka Pavlovic. Kozlov boasts a solid career clay record of 79-54, while Magadan's home crowd support adds upset potential despite his 2-7 YTD form. No injuries reported.
