Stefan Kozlov, ranked No. 260, holds a clear edge over No. 408 Raphael Perot in their Mexico City Challenger first-round clash on clay, buoyed by a 1-0 head-to-head from February's Cleveland Challenger win (7-6(5), 3-6, 6-3 on hard). Kozlov's 2026 record stands at 12-11, with a recent clay first-round loss to Alan Magadan in San Luis Potosi highlighting mixed form but solid experience on the surface (6-3 in last 52 weeks). Perot, a Frenchman with modest clay results (7-8 YTD), arrives off ITF losses like a Toulouse quarterfinal exit. Mexico City's high altitude quickens clay bounce, favoring Kozlov's baseline power; no injuries reported, but rest and acclimation could sway the competitive matchup.
