Fajing Sun enters the ATP Challenger Wuning 2 first-round clash on hard courts with momentum from last week's Wuning 1 semifinal run, where the Chinese No. 251 defeated Ethan Cook, Philip Sekulic, and Justin Boulais 6-1, 6-1 in the quarters before a 6-7(9), 3-6, 6-3 loss to Pavel Kotov. Australian lucky loser Tai Sach (No. 507), who lost his final qualifying match to Khumoyun Sultanov, advances with a modest 12-10 record over the past year but lacks head-to-head experience against Sun. Home advantage, superior recent hard-court form, and rankings edge shape trader consensus for the home player in this evenly matched bracket opener, though Challenger upsets remain common.
