Andrey Rublev enters the Barcelona Open round of 16 with momentum after defeating clay specialist Mariano Navone 6-4, 7-5 in the second round, rebounding from an early Monte Carlo exit to showcase baseline intensity suited to the red clay surface. Fifth seed Rublev (No. 15) holds a 4-2 head-to-head advantage over Lorenzo Sonego (No. 66), including their most recent hard-court clash in Toronto last year. Sonego advanced via a tough opener against Pedro Martinez, but returns from a nearly three-month injury absence, potentially introducing rust despite his clay comfort. No late withdrawals or injury concerns reported, positioning trader consensus around Rublev's ranking edge, power game, and form in this ATP 500 matchup.
