Arsenal Women enter the 2026-27 Women's Super League opener against Brighton & Hove Albion Women as clear favorites, bolstered by a strong summer transfer window that added Georgia Stanway, Ona Batlle, Misa Rodriguez, and Elisa de Almeida to a squad already featuring Alessia Russo and others. Manager Renée Slegers emphasized title ambitions following a second-place finish last season. Brighton, who ended 2025-26 in seventh and reached the FA Cup final, face significant transition after Dario Vidošić's abrupt departure; new head coach Arturo Ruiz, the league's youngest at 29, has limited preparation time despite record signings like Emily Murphy. Historical results heavily favor Arsenal, though Brighton's home games at Broadfield Stadium and recent cup upset potential add context for traders assessing implied probabilities.
