Recent opinion polls for Berlin’s September 20, 2026, Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke consistently ahead of the SPD in projected vote share, typically placing Linke in the high teens to low twenties and the SPD in the low to mid-teens. Linke’s surge, driven by gains among younger voters and stronger local mobilization in key districts, has positioned its candidate Elif Eralp as a leading contender for the mayoralty, while the SPD’s support has remained subdued as the junior partner in the incumbent CDU-led coalition. These sustained polling differentials, evident across multiple surveys through mid-August, underpin traders’ strong consensus that Linke will finish ahead on election day.
