Paris Saint-Germain enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as clear title favorites after securing a fifth straight championship in 2025-26 alongside Champions League success, bolstered by summer additions including Maghnes Akliouche and Ferran Torres that enhance squad depth under Luis Enrique. Contenders for the remaining top-four spots include RC Lens, LOSC Lille, AS Monaco, Olympique de Marseille, and Olympique Lyonnais, with pre-season models highlighting Lens and Lille as the strongest challengers based on recent form and roster stability. A record 12 managerial changes across the league introduce uncertainty, notably new coaches at Lens (Dino Toppmöller), Lille (Davide Ancelotti), and Marseille (Bruno Génésio), while early matchday results show Marseille and Lens posting strong opening wins ahead of key fixtures like Lille versus PSG. European commitments and fixture congestion remain central variables for the chasing pack over the 34-game schedule.
