Steph Curry's contract situation anchors trader sentiment, with the Warriors at 74% as the clear leader due to his one remaining year on the current deal and mutual interest in a two-year max extension eligible August 29, 2026. Recent reporting confirms both sides are aligned on keeping the 38-year-old point guard in Golden State through his age-40 season amid an aging core that includes Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green. The Warriors' quiet offseason and focus on roster continuity around Curry reinforce this positioning, especially after a middling 2025-26 campaign. Speculative trade chatter involving teams such as the Spurs, Celtics, Heat, or Mavs surfaces only if extension talks stall or performance falters, explaining their lower implied probabilities near 20-25%. Broader market pricing across the 45-50% range for additional clubs reflects the inherent uncertainty of free agency and potential roster upheaval rather than active indications Curry intends to depart.
