**The tight clustering in this Week 1 rushing touchdowns leader market stems from parity in projected goal-line volume and red-zone opportunities across multiple backfields heading into the 2026 season opener.** Several established starters, including Jahmyr Gibbs, Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, Saquon Barkley, and James Cook III, enter with comparable expected carries inside the five-yard line against defenses that allowed elevated rushing scores last season. Preseason usage patterns, official injury reports, and scheme continuity have kept most contenders healthy and in featured roles, while single-game variance—driven by game script, weather, and defensive adjustments—prevents any dominant favorite from emerging. Traders reflect this uncertainty through bunched pricing, underscoring how minor differences in touches or efficiency can decide the outcome in one slate.
