The American recently defeated the Japanese teenager 6-4, 6-2 on hard courts in the W35 Rome event just five days earlier, providing a direct head-to-head edge on a comparable surface. Akli’s stronger recent form and prior collegiate success further support trader consensus, while the 19-year-old Koike has shown competitive results in lower-tier ITF events but lacks equivalent experience at this level. The outdoor hard-court conditions and first-round context in the Cary Tennis Classic add limited variables beyond current fitness and momentum.
