Lorenzo Gagliardo and Aristotelis Thanos meet in the round of 16 at the ITF M25 Kursumlijska Banja on outdoor clay. The higher-ranked Thanos enters with an ATP singles ranking near 496 and a career-high of 433, while Gagliardo sits around 988-1003. Both players have competed extensively on the surface in recent lower-tier events at the same Serbian venue, where Gagliardo posted several straight-set and three-set victories in preceding M15 matches. No prior head-to-head exists between the pair. Thanos brings greater professional experience and ranking pedigree into the matchup, though ITF-level clay results can hinge on current form, physical freshness after travel, and adaptation to conditions.
