Kuan-Yi Lee enters the M25 Urayasu hard-court matchup with a ranking advantage near 600 and a 2026 hard-court record showing competitive results across ITF events, though recent retirements in China and Taiwan raise questions about physical condition and recovery. Sho Katayama, a 37-year-old Japanese player ranked lower, benefits from home-soil familiarity and prior head-to-head success against Lee from 2017, yet his recent form features limited success against stronger opposition. Both players favor hard surfaces, with Lee posting stronger win percentages there this season; schedule congestion or late withdrawals could further influence the outcome in this Futures-level contest.
