Seokhyeon Chu holds a modest edge over Sungbeen Sim in this ITF M15 Gimcheon first-round matchup on outdoor hard courts, driven by both players’ recent domestic form and limited professional experience. Chu enters after a competitive showing in the prior week’s M15 Andong event, while Sim arrives on the back of a straight-sets win over Homin Kwag in the Gimcheon qualifying draw but a loss to Jake Delaney in Busan the week before. As two Korean players meeting in a low-tier event, home-soil familiarity and recent match sharpness on the surface stand out as the primary variables likely shaping the outcome, with little historical head-to-head data available to refine expectations further.
