Michael Bassem Sobhy enters this ITF M25 Hurghada final on hard courts as the higher-ranked player at approximately No. 641, riding strong recent form after advancing through the draw with victories including a three-set quarterfinal win over Nino Ehrenschneider. The 22-year-old Egyptian also holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Aaron Funk, having defeated the German in straight sets during an April M25 Sharm El-Sheikh meeting. Funk, ranked near No. 1443 and still seeking his first professional title at age 20, has shown competitive results in lower-tier events but faces a tougher stylistic matchup against Sobhy's established baseline game and local-event momentum. Both players have navigated the tournament's physical demands effectively, with no reported injury concerns heading into the final.
